THE STUDIO

Commissioned by a film director to be his production office, this self-contained studio was renovated from top to bottom. Formerly boosting a corporate office space, the unit was transformed to be a creative studio with a mixture of industrial and contemporary vibe to it. Several walls were removed to create a once spacious flat space, the ceiling covers were also removed to both increase the ceiling height and expose the original ceiling with steel beams. The studio was also made soundproof, using epoxy flooring and a special coating of the wall made with a mixture of cement and various high-tech material. A single-pieces TV stand in the shape of a concrete block was created to site harmoniously with the grey, industrial surrounding while the placement of green plants created a balanced contrast.
